This year, the networking conference “students meet engineers” will take place in Berlin on November 15-16, offering a unique opportunity for aspiring engineers to connect with industry professionals. The event will focus on key areas shaping the future of technology: semiconductor technology, digitalization and AI.
This year, the networking conference “students meet engineers” will take place in Berlin. The conference provides students with the chance to look beyond the academic world and dive deep into real-world industry trends. Following last year’s focus on the future of mobility, this year’s spotlight will be on the role of the semiconductor industry and its influence on global value creation. Attendees will explore critical questions such as:
Why is the semiconductor industry crucial for global economic growth?
How do current trends impact worker representation and co-determination in relevant industries?
What stance is IG Metall taking on the rapidly evolving discussions around digitalization and AI?
This event is an open platform to exchange ideas, engage with other students and industry professionals, and gain valuable insights that could shape your future career. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow students and experienced engineers from various fields.
In addition to engaging panel discussions and presentations, the event will feature optional company tours. Participants can choose between a tour of ASML Berlin, leading semiconductor manufacturer bound collective agreements, or an exploration of the innovative EUREF Campus, a hub for digital and sustainable technologies. These tours offer hands-on look at cutting-edge developments in the industry. Participation in the tours is optional.
The conference will take place on November 15-16 at IG Metall Bildungszentrum Berlin (Am Pichelssee 30, 13595 Berlin).
